Jacob Push is a baseball player that is graduating in June. This photo was taken on our South Carolina baseball extravaganza our coaching staff fueled efforts for year round. Jacob plays catcher on my baseball team. Jacob has an excellent arm and plays the game with a game-ready attitude. Myrtle beach is where the pictures were taken, and the football served very well in my composition. I found better results taking candid shots of him which effectively featured his bright smile, the overwhelming ocean rays beating down on him. In the black and white photo I feel my usage of lighting, balance and selective focus aided the triumph of the good qualities of the photo. I effectively used the horizon line and rule of thirds in the color photo of Jake, but I did not utilize formal balance which may or may not have improved the photo. Overall, I could have implemented balance and leading line objectives in the photo taking process.
